Cut in butter with your fingers or pastry blender until the mixture resembles tiny peas. Whisk the egg yolk and water together in a small bowl. Add to flour mixture and blend until the pastry is smooth and holds together in a ball. Wrap the dough in a baggie or plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes (or you can freeze for 6 minutes). If it doesn't hold together, add a tad more butter. Press into pie plate or tin and prick with a fork. Bake unfilled for 12 minutes. 1 cup plus 1 Tbs Water (70-80 degrees) 1/2 cup Molasses 1 Tbs Oil (not canola or soy) 3 cups Whole Wheat Pastry Flour 1 cup Old-Fashioned Oats 1 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon 1-1 1/2 tsp Ground Ginger 1 tsp Salt 1/2 tsp Grated Orange Peel 1/4 tsp Ground Nutmeg 1/4 tsp Ground Cloves 1 package Active Dry Yeast (1/4 ounce) In a bread machine pan, place all ingredients in order suggested by manufacturer. Select basic bread setting. Choose crust color and loaf size if available. Bake according to bread machine directions. Check dough after 5 minutes of mixing; add 1-2 teaspoons of water or flour if needed. Yields 1 Loaf (about 2 pounds, 16 slices).
