Breads and Rolls



Biscuits

2 cups Whole Wheat Pastry Flour

1 Tbs Baking Powder

1/2 tsp Salt

3/4 cup Milk

1/4 cup Oil (not canola or soy)


Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Mix all ingredients together. Knead on floured surface.

Pinch and roll dough. Use glass or biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits. Flatten slightly when putting in pan. Place close together.

Bake 12-15 minutes.



Whipped Cream Biscuits

1 cup Whole Wheat Pastry Flour

1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder

1/4 tsp Salt

1/2 cup Whipping Cream, whipped


Preheat oven to 425 degrees

In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in cream.

Turn dough onto floured surface and knead 10 times. Roll to 3/4 inch thickness and cut with a 2 1/4 inch round cutter.

Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, until lightly browned. Serve warm.
